Es un Lindo Auto!

Hello from the Wheeler family in Northern Chile.

Just picked up our 96 Delica (Star Wagon Limited Edition), 2.5l Turbo Diesel with 95,000kms. Straight off the boat from Japan in the tax free zone here in Iquique. Before we can drive it out of the tax free zone (port) it needs to have a "cambio volante" or steering change. So we no longer have a RHD Delica, I hope the group wont shun us for that!

We finally have a van that will fit our windsurf boards in the back no problems asked. The fact that it is beefed up with 4x4, and has style to spare is pretty cool too!

Does anyone have any info on how I can get a mistumaple? And who i can send some money and an address to? The official post seems a little long, I dont want to get lost at the back of that.

Thanks for all the info from the past posts. Will help in the future for sure!

Nice ride, I wish I was in Chile right now! Maybe I should bring you a sticker :-D
If I had one I'd send you one now. Welcome to the forum though. Enjoy it.

WOW! It took a second to get my bearings on that second shot - It's only the second picture of a LHD delica I have seen. Someone from Taiwan posted one of his converted bus about a year ago. How epic is the project? Too bad ya can't just drive them as they were made. We have forces at work to ban RHD's here too - naturally we all think it's ridiculous. Anyway, I like your bus and the oh so classic shot with the surf boards leaned up on it and the palms waving in the background :-D Mararmiesto is the sticker guy. If he doesn't get over to your thread just send him a PM. He has added to the collection recently too, with a complete CND flag Mitsumaple - looks sharp! Welcome to the club btw :-D

Welcome!

Where does one find a LHD dash? Europe? Japan?
Can the E-Brake not be re-routed to the drivers side?
