What do you want to know about the cold/hot box?

Evening.
I am just curious how they work...I know that the air must be on to chill items, but the scary thing is the hot aspect.
I worked in the food industry for years and I am positive that it doesn't get hot enough to keep bacteria away, so my question is why would you use the hot part?
Thanks for the links Konadog.
Thanks

Correct, a/c has to be activated for the cold part to work; hot setting will work without dash selector to hot. And hot, as delicat indicated, is more like warm. Besides, who likes their food from under those heat lamps at 7-11? Sure they're great when you're drunk, but have you ever had one of those hamburgers sober?

You know, when you go into 7-11 and you wonder, "What the heck am I doing in here?"
