Hiya folks.
I hope you will indulge my lack of knowledge and explain a few newbie puzzlements: :?

-In the context of shipping, what is "RO/RO"? (roll on/roll off? or maybe oars are used getting it over here?)
-What's a turbo temperature alarm? Do I need one for an L400 & if so, where do I get one?
-What's a "turbo" muffler & how does it differ from any other muffler?
-Is changing to a 2.5" exhaust pipe a cheap an' easy thing for a muff shop to do and once done, which muffler will accommodate the increased volume?

Thanks!

Hello, yes roro is roll on roll off,
you dont NEED a EGT (exhaust gas temp) gauge, but you really should have one if you spend more than $1000 for your delica.
However if you dont changer your motor oil regularly and like to turn your van off after doing long runs or with the turbo temp up high, and your Turbo is only working if your van is turned on.....
I would be happy to sell you a NEW turbo for the Turbo bearings that are Commonly fried from people not letting the turbo cool and being to cheap to spend the money for a engine saving gauge like an EGT....
your turbo is OIL cooled and can only cool its self PROPERLY if your engine is running

no you dont NEED to have a Turbo muffler, but if your making your exhaust larger then yes you SHOULD have a turbo Muffler as the gas is hotter and coming quicker than a Normally aspirated system,

ANY decent muffler shop should be able to fab up your exhaust,

for about $900-1100 you can get FULL stainless exhaust that is 2.5" out of Japan for your L400, Bolts up in about an hours time, Possibly extra costs would be some knuckle skin to the Delica gods and a few wobbly pops to a friend to help you.
