First Road Trip

Post by kb&2dogs »

Hi all
picked up my baby blue deli on Thursday, took it for my first road trip Friday, from Victoria to north of Campbell River. Picked up some friends at Duke Point first, then on to CR for the necessary stuff (beer, etc.), then we hit the logging roads.

It was a smooth ride in general, very impressed with how she handled on the logging road, and in and out of 4by no problem. The trip up cost a little more than expected, but was improved by the return trip (started using fuel additive first tankful, and will continue to do so).

All in all, a very good, comfy ride, enjoyed by me and my passengers both, and particularly enjoyed seeing other delis on the road (waving and honking like mad), on the way up, a green one in Duncan, white one by Nanaimo, and on the way back a white one at the beginning of the parkway and another by Ladysmith. Now, if I see another Deli, I would expect them to run the other way, because mine is so covered in muck and dirt, you'd hardly recognize it, but give me a couple days and she'll be shiny and clean again!

No doubt now.....I'm hooked! :D :D :D

We use Howes (not sure of the spelling, my other half buys it for me and puts it in a smaller bottle to keep in the van). Use it in both the Deli and our Dodge Ram diesel.
