So can any mechanic block this?
I saw someone found a kit (sort of) on E-bay. Has anyone made up their own templates that they are selling? I would lke to do this to my Deli when I get it.

No need for a mechanic! Quite easy job and parts needed are easy to make yourself if not found locally...
Enjoy working on your van!

Here you go mate,
http://www.delica.ca/forum/egr-removal-kit-5621.html
Since removing the EGR valve, I've noticed the Landmaster runs cooler (Hm maybe because I'm not redirecting exhaust gas into the engine anymore!)
It took Mararmeisto and myself about twenty minutes to remove the kit, so if two sailors can do it, any one can!

My (amazing) mechanic is doing mine this week while he's in the area of the EGR tackling other jobs. I'm going to direct him to this thread so he can follow the useful links you've provided (thanks for that), and also I will report back on the results.
