head rests?

hey dear know-it-all's! (it's a compliment...)
i would like to replace the head-rests of the front seats of my deli, because they are too short (aah those little japanese...) and will neatly break my boyfriend's neck if it comes to the worst (not mine though. HA!). i guess i could try to drill another dent so they can be placed higher up, but am a little concerned about safety/stability.
i'm thus wondering whether i can go to Canadian tire or similar and expect to find headrests that will fit. or is it more complicated than that?

thanks for any help!

...i did search the site first, but didn't find anything :-)

Hi Flyaway,

I'm pretty sure the distance between the headrest 'pegs' is standard for all vehicles, you could always go to a scrap yard and find a different set with longer pegs.

...Or, if you have an in-dash DVD player, you could get a set of headrests off of Ebay that have screens built into the back! (Great fun for the rear seat passengers, but as useful as a wagon load of rancid dingo kidneys for the people up front!)

If he's as tall as me, it's not so much that the headrest is too low, it's that the top of the seat back ends mid-shoulder blade as well. Only way to properly remedy that is to change the seat to one with a taller back.

Or start going out with shorter men... :?
