So its almost that time of the year again and we are starting to prepare for the second annual open day / customer appreciation day. Both myself and John from Rocky Mountain Imports will be hosting the day which we hope to make bigger and better than last year. As with last year there will be barbeque, snacks, drinks etc and a large display of Delica parts/vehicles . There will be time to question myself or John as to any technical or parts problems. We are going to run this for just one weekend this year and we will start a poll on the forum to try and get an idea of how many people can come and which the most popular weekend would be to do this.
Also if any one has any suggestions as to what could make this day more interesting or something in particular they would like to see please feel free to post any ideas here or directly to me by email ccautos@telus.net .

last year was in august... same weekend as the big time out in cumberland. this year the big time out is aug 15 and only one day. so i personally like sunday August 16 because ill be over there already...

I hope we are talking about a Saturday party. August 15th would be the best. The mainland drivers are more easy going and flexible as usually but please give us room for travel.

So the day was chosen a couple of weeks ago - thank you to all who voted, you're expected to show - and I spoke with Glen last weekend and he said he is making preparations for this Saturday. I don't have start/stop times at this point, but I have asked Glen to pass those along to me so I can post them for him.

My crew will board a ferry in Horseshoe Bay at 6:20 am on 15th.

The open day will run from about 10am to 4pm this Saturday, August 15th. Glen and I will be setting things up on Friday in preparation and hope to see a lot of people on Saturday. All Delica and Pajero owners are welcome. We will have the BBQ going and should be a great day. There will be special event pricing on parts and labour packages and door prizes to be won. Come with your questions and we will be sure to answer them (or at least tell you something that sounds believeable) Hope to see you there......

Yeah! I'll see everybody there. Should be a good turnout based on the numbers that voted for the particular day. I'll bring the whole expedition setup so others can see how we sleep "outside the van".

Hopefully we will get a good turn out this saturday for the second annual open day here in Coombs. New for this year is the "Deli Dollar" event where we will be selling off many of our used parts stock at only $1 per item !!!!!! This offer will only be available for people attending the event, no phone in or rain checks. As we are still preparing this selection of parts we will post some pictures later on today. Keep checking in for updates.
Also this year we will be offering free t-shirts and as these are of limited quantity they are given out on a first come first served basis.
We will have the usual snacks and drinks in the morning from 10am onwards. Around lunch we have Bar-B-Q offering burgers and hotdogs and towards the end of the day anyone looking to camp over in the yard will have leftovers again !!!!!

DARN...DRAT....AND RATS!!!!!

We can't do Coombs this week, we have a homestay student and I'm on pickup and delivery duty on Saturday for one of their activities. Well, the good news is, I have room in the van if a few need rides, but it means missing this stellar event and seeing all the Deli-ites.

Oh well, I guess another time!! Sorry we won't see ya'all.
