Solved Thanks! Delica jack & tirewrench for 1 month Borrow
Hi All, Begging to borrow (or buy) the Delica jack, jack turning device, and tire wrench kit for 1 month. Please ??
I want to borrow the contents of a Delica rear tire tool compartment until 16th September. Does anyone have an unused delica just sitting around that does not need a tire kit at the moment?
It is actually for Delicat, for his friends who are using David's wife's Delica while visiting Vancouver for 1 month.
Lo and behold it has an empty tire tool compartment.
I gave the friends the introduction to the Delica, if that's not friendship enough I did the introduction in my poor French (yes the engine is under your chair, yes that little strip of fabric holds up that heavy seat so you can check the oil, yes there should be a tire jack -- hmmm my french failed to translate tire jack -- "elevator pour le vehicle" was the compromise phrase -- the things one really should learn in school). Haahhh, obviously Delicat did not check his Delica thoroughly, sadly the compartment doesnt have anything interesting in there instead, it is merely beautifully clean and empty. Unlikely the jack will be used, as friends too timid to venture off the main roads (just sitting inside this weird vehicle is adventure enough) but it would make them more comfortable.
If none available to borrow, will buy. Anyone got the complete kit?
Anyone got one who is coming the the Ikea Coquitlam meetup tomorrow Friday 27 August, we will be there 6 to 9 pm.
Cheers, Christine.

Re: Wanted: Delica jack & tirewrench etc for 1 month Borrow/Buy
Hey,
I am in Nanaimo, don't think at this point I can make it to the meet.
If you guys or your party pass this way they can use one of my sets.

I'd loan mine if I had one! mine came with an empty compartment as well. The previous owner arranged for me to pick up a set for free from a local mechanic but I didn't get around to it, just bought a big heavy hydraulic floor jack instead
I've probably spent $500 on diesel hauling that heavy thing around but it sure is handy.
Hoping to make it to the meet tomorrow.. maybe on my bike, maybe in my sad vandalized van

If only I'd known, I would have striped it from my wrecked van at the ICBC salvage yard. I didn't think there was a big need for them. Sorry David.

We're heading through to Tofino on Wednesday next week (into Nanaimo), returning the following Sunday (out of Sidney, only 5 days :(), so we could meet up with Captain Right on! above and pass over a set.
Let me know if that works for both parties

Thanks to everyone, I have now got the jack all solved.
Thanks to Joe Luna-Sea for donating his old jack (which doesnt fit his delica after doing his lift -- something to remember for others doing lifts !).
Thanks to Golf Cart for being the go-between for delivery of the jack.
I have already put my jack into Delicat's van for his visitors to use (hoping I get no flat meantime) and then I will use my "new" Luna-Sea jack until David gets back in town and can return my jack to me.
Wow, complicated, but grateful thanks to this forum and all the Delica Community.
Cheers, Christine.

Thanks guys, as usual this club rocks!
Oh, and in about 3 weeks I should be driving my Delica again after 4 1/2 months of having it waiting for me in La Belle Province... I kinda miss that little beast!
Thanks again!!!
David

David,
I got your message. I was in a seminar and couldnt answer your call. I looked at the number and figured it it was a customer.
Glad youre all having fun.
