Anybody interested in a snorkel for our l300s?
Fits on low and high roof. Material is injected moulded plastic. Including mounting brackets, template and hoses.
Price between 300 - 350CAD (depends on how many people are interested)

Strange, one of the most discussed mods, but now no one is interested anymore?
The price is actually not bad at all. The head alone is $120 if you pick it up separate.

Most are all bark and no bite when it comes to mods like these.

I would be all over it if I still had Turtle.

The only thing stopping me is that I already have the head unit and plan on making my own... Wouldn't look as good and probably not much cheaper either! But hey, if I realize it's not coming along than I could join the order.

If anyone was coming down my way I would be in but shipping to Mx is kind of hard to arrange. When are you going to order?

And I just told my wife that the tire-carrying-with-fuel-can-bumper was the last major mod I was going to do to the van for a while... :-(

We need at least 4 takers (incl. me) to get the price down (around $350). Otherwise it will be way over $400.
To get close to $300 we need 10 people or more...

Couple questions:
how hard is it to install? Bolt on, or serious metal work needed? How long to install? 1 hour or more like 5?

Don't think it's been done on this side so you might have better luck asking the Australian forum.

For most of us it doesn't really matter as it's more about the end result... 1hr, 5hr... as long as we get to play harder after the time to install doesn't matter too much. And there's always opportunity to join in with somebody who will be installing theirs, quality time!

The ARB Safari kit came with template and a hole saw. It's not serious metal work, and shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. BTW, it's better to have K & N air filter with the snorkel. K & N performs better if the filter is wet. The part number is: E4810. Wanna group buy that too?

I will sign up for one if the price is around $300.

ok, i really love the snorkel, i just wanted to know if there was gonna be some serious welding, fabrication, or general frustration involved that was going to significantly increase the cost of this mod. But from the sounds of things, seems reasonable enough....
So, I'm in, and would love to be part of a group snorkel instal get together.
What sort of turn around/time line are we looking at here?
