Hi there,
Sue and I just picked up our '92 L-300 last week. She hasn't even driven it yet. It's a pretty regular turbo diesel automatic, dark green and with the high roof. We plan on using it mostly for recreation. We're mountaineers and backcountry skiers (if a little long in the tooth) so hopefully many logging roads and snowy mountain tracks lay in it's future. We plan on building a removable camper unit for it before April when it's due to take it's first big trip to the American high desert. I'm thinking seriously about adding a vegetable oil kit, but that will wait a bit until we're comfortable with the machine.

So far this site has been really useful to me and as of now will become a lot more so I hope.

It's good to be onboard.

Doug

Welcome! :)

Always good to see other backcountry people about. Do you ski on bended knee?

Nope! The noise from my knees interferes with my concentration. On the advice of a ski guide pal I went AT 20 years ago or so. Said I'd get another 15 years of skiing if I didn't telemark. Young Susy (she's way under 60) however does.
