First: Yes I used search to look

Question. Does the rear gate have it's own fuse in the fuse box?
Looking through the schematic for the fuse box shows no corresponding
fuse for it.

Since I do have this princess auto remote unit I might as well
spend an hour and hook it up to the door locks and rear gate.
And the interior light Im thinking.

Definitely doesn't have it's own fuse, but try pulling the "door lock" fuse (upper row, rightmost position). That's a 20A fuse and I don't see how that could be for only the two front doors and the side door.

A lot of the fuses double-duty with unlisted or unmentioned systems. For example, the fuse labeled "horn" also includes the power for the stereo and the dash clock (I think it is), but of course the label only indicates "horn" (in Japanese).

I'll take a look at the schematic later today, see if I can provide you a more concrete answer.

EDIT: pretty sure it is on the same fuse as I indicated above. I checked the schematic this afternoon, and that's where it looks like it is coming from. Good choice as it comes straight from the battery and is not switched through the ignition.

in the L300 your best bet for doing the rear gate is to attach your wires to the back of the gate lock/unlock switch on the dash (that's the way my alarm was wired, seemed to work well.
