Unfortunately, I was watching Arcade Fire at the Gorge in WA State, so I had to wait until this morning to drive it....well worth the wait though. It sure looks cooler than the gas guzzling '95 GMC Safari it is replacing.

'91 Super Exceed with all the bells and whistles, including cool box, crystal lite roof, a sweet after market Alpine tape deck and what appears to be a stock karaoke machine?

Anyone know how this works? It's located next to the rear climate controls. It didn't come with any mics, but the Alpine deck did have a sweet mix tape in it.

that is the factory "audiostage" that works with the factory stereo, it's basically a remote control for the factory deck (though a bloody cool one with mic inputs, user selectable headsets sources etc!) if the factory deck is gone though then the "audiostage" is just taking up space... (I removed the audiostage when I replaced the factory deck (I actually pulled out the cables running back to the dash from it too) and I plan to put an inverter in that same hole...)

They put on such an amazing show, it was my fourth time seeing them and I am still floored after every show. You see the chick almost get nailed by the drum the guy was throwing in the air? Mere inches from taking a floor tom to the skull.

Yeah, I figured it was next to useless now. It would be nice to stick something in functional in there. You should post some pics of your inverter install when you get around to it. I'm completely inexperienced at these things but if I had pictures to look at how bad could I possible screw it up

Even though the sales guy talked up the virtues of the Alpine tape deck with Graphic equalizer I think I'll have to replace that as well. I need something that'll play my MP3 DVD-Rs

They definitely made it worth the trip, I'm a big fan of Interpol as well, but they looked a little flat compared to the Arcade Fire show.

I meant to come over to the regular camp ground and track down your Deli, but every time I thought of it someone opened a beer and I got distracted. Oh, the one thing I remembered about the premium camp ground that makes it worth the $10/night, besides the shuttle, the showers, the honey bucket ratio, and the tight security making sure now one steals our gear while we are at a 12 hour show. It's the private entrance access. No general admission line up to deal with. 2 of my friends skipped the shuttle on Sunday and got caught in a 2 hour line up to get into the place, not fun

P.S. Oh yeah, they also put on a 'bonus' show for the VIP/Premium campers after the Beasties play on Sunday night. The Polyphonic Spree played a set. To tell you the truth though I was pretty much done by the time they came on, 5 hours of standing in that mosh pit really takes it outta ya.

I was at polyphonic spree at the yeti after midnight, but left as they were starting because it was so time to be done with that place.

A tip for the line up, walk past the one all the campers go in, and go in the one where people who drive to the show are supposed to use. Since its in the middle of nowhere, no one drives, and the second lineup gets you in the same entrance within 10 minutes.

and nobody would dare break into my van. It looks like a crazy person owns it... yeah, looks like.

Good one, I'll remeber that for the members of my crew that are in too much a hurry to wait for a shuttle. There were 8 of us in my van so the extra premium camp charge averaged out to about $1.25/night. When you are paying $10/beer inside the show it sure seems worth it
