As many of you are aware, the delica.ca forum went down for past 12 hours approximately.

This situation was (embarrassingly) "self-created" (by me) when some server reconfigurations that I applied last night went wrong. Even though I restarted the server last night and tested, the server error problems did not become evident until this morning (while I was off to watch the Canadian women's hockey teem clobber the Swiss).

Thank you all for your patience over the past 12 hours!

Thank you MB -- Just a status update (as of Tuesday Feb 16)

Seems we are not completely "out of the woods" yet...

Forum posting seems to be functioning, however I have noticed that Private Messages (PMs) are not working properly at the time of writing. Specifically, PMs sent do go in to outbox (and do seem to get delivered). However, the sender is given an error message immediately on clicking "send".

If anybody else notices other "bugs" that require immediate attention, please post to this thread (which will be made sticky).

Good work there man! I can totally associate with the downtime of the forum, being a sysadmin and having run a few forums in the past I know how these things occasionally blow up! (And I have been responsible for blowing a few up too...)

So, from someone who has been on your side of the fence, your work on this forum is really appreciated!

OK -- PM sending should be now back to normal (I've found the cause of the "Error 477" issue, and have corrected it). Please let me know though if anyone encounters further troubles sending PMs!
