I take it because you are asking that you only caught part of the story? Could this have anything to do with that woman who ran off the Bamfield Road a couple of years ago?

http://www.delica.ca/forum/fatal-accide ... -3252.html

I remember getting back from the UK and just catching a news item on a "new" IRA bombing campaign in Northern Ireland. The CBC was making such a deal about it that after the third time of just catching the news item ~ I looked out for it the next time. Turned out to be a recap of an incident from the year before but the news story was so sensational.

Hopefully this story is no more than a recap of the Bamfield story.

But if it is.... why?

Falco.

I don't think it had anything to do with Bamfield, or a couple years ago, on the 6pm news check 6 just showed it. a great big tree split in the storms today and crushed a L300, went across its back

Weather Network identifies the road as being in Vancouver - tough luck. Hope it's covered under insurance.

I think they should be good on the insurance side. My wife and I had just bought our first family car brand new from Duecks - 1992 Chev Cavalier - 2 months later a massive doug fir branch broke off high up a tree in Edgmont Village and according to witnesses it "floatd down like a feather" and crushed the car completely on impact...thankful nobody was in it at the time. Couldn't afford collision in those days - was duly compensated minus our deductible under comprehensive.
