Wonder if they'll make mud- and off-road tires like that as well....

sort of tread like... probably pretty close to puncture proof, though I bet offroading it would cake right up solid with mud...

I first saw those tires years ago.They have been saying that they are coming out but i am still waiting. I would love to try those out.

They have a similar one for 4x4, but it's honeycomb instead design instead... Were designed for army vehicles, bullet proof and much more.

I read that this was just for the prototype, the final version would have sidewalls to prevent this and road noise. IIRC, the open sides were just to showcase the technology.
