Bad Bad John DeliTan, you've posted bad ideas for Jay to inflict on my TardisDeli -- he's already wondered about how to imitate the ceiling lights on TV's "The Cash Cab". Christine.

I had these in my royal, they are almost TO bright at night with the 9 LED's that I put in the front and the back, they can easily make you squint your eyes at night when they go in, and your not used to full daylight from a tiny spot on the roof,
they are $20-25 each
sure are an improvment , but take some getting used to..

That's why I go with blue: still nice and bright, but not as intense as the white light.EnviroImports.com wrote:I had these in my royal, they are almost TO bright at night with the 9 LED's that I put in the front and the back, they can easily make you squint your eyes at night when they go in, and your not used to full daylight from a tiny spot on the roof,

Re: Options for dome lite replacement
I replaced all the interior lighting bulbs e.g. dome, doors, slider with LED festoon replacements from SuperBright. Used a blue bulb in the slider foot well so it's nicer at night if door is open. They've all worked well and no dead battery from doors left open by little kids.
The dome is a little harsh though.

Also bought a universal LED lamp kit (see on same page as above) - a multi LED board w/ a variety of bases for retro fit. Haven't used it yet.
PS marines supplies are another source of neat lights, etc. A little higher priced usually for so-called marine grade though.

Yellow LED's are the best in my experience, they cast the most usable light but don't make your corneas pucker every time you open the door at night.

Red light will preserve your night vision and will make your Deli into a rolling tactical outdoor assault vehicle.

Try this one on for size:

...Now if I can just mount one of those 500mW lasers to the guts from a C&C milling machine and aim it thru my windscheild, I could etch "Beware! I can't drive!" onto the rear door paint of half of the twits here in Vancouver when I pull up behind them at a light!

Sold!
this goes under "essential modifications".
i think i'll pick some up for my little fibreglass trailers.
Any colour recommendations for inside a trailer? i was thinking just warm white with maybe a couple of mood lights for my bolers.
