The Italian Tune Up

I should be picking up my L400 from Mardy tomorrow as I am finally returning to BC from Memphis. I am planning on visiting family in the Okanagan for part of the weekend before returning home to Victoria.
Now, I know Mardy takes the vehicles out for their own Italian Tune Up along the highways around Vancouver, but I am planning on giving my 1995 Royal Exceed a tuneup on the Coquihalla on the way to the Okanagan.
My question is, for the L400, what is the appropriate RPM (roughly) to hold while doing the tuneup? I know not to redline it, but what would be the best range to be in to get a good Italian tune up on the way to the Okanagan?
