I am looking for a part number for a release bearing.
Wondering if I can simply walk into Bearing and Transmission to
pick up the bearing.
Any numbers or help
Thanks

I don't have a part # but the block, flywheel, clutch, etc. are the same part#s as a 1985 Dodge Ram D50 pickup. The engine # from the Dodge is a 4D55 and ours is a 4D56, same block, etc but different head, turbo, etc.
I researched it out for my L300.
Hope this helps.

It isn't
The clutch is, but the release bearing isn't.
I know this for fact.
Otherwise I wouldn't have this problem.
When we did the clutch the bearing didn't fit.
So....
I think I may have found some part numbers that might.

Quick question for those in the know.
Is it a good idea to also change the clutch pilot
bearing or is that something different altogether?
Already going to order a clutch release bearing.
Thanks
James

Yes change the pilot Bearing it is in the end of the crank shaft and holds the end of the transmission input shaft up. Should be changed with the clutch.
