My 'brick' got a facelift!

After waiting for a while for fishslapper to get back to me I finally gave up and hired Kurtis from Unique Detailing to perform a facelift on my Delica. This is a mobile service and they can do the job anywhere at your convenience. I decided to remove the factory artwork as it was exposing her age at closer look. I can tell you that removing the original decals was not fun, especially 'CHAMONIX' ones, they were 3-layer stickers. To replace them I got a deal from Fine-Line Auto Graphics & Signs Inc. in North Vancouver and applied them later myself. Here is the story in pictures:

Droooool......Wow nice job - interior too?
Can't remember, is your roof Rhino'd ?

I did interior myself with the help of a Euroflex Monster steam cleaner which I bought from Costco. Yes, my brick's roof was Rhino coated to hide the faded paint and I love it as it is bulletproof now.

Wow.... very nice job.... without wanting to be insensitive: Would you be able to let me know how much the detailing job set you back and also how much the Rhino-Roof coat cost? Always thinking about projects.... :-)

Cheers,
Chris

Beautiful job. Your truck is gleaming!

I'm going to call them for an estimate on mine.

I spoke to Kurtis at Unique Detailing http://www.uniquedetailing.ca 604-780-7008 (note the number on his awning is outdated). Summer is obviously their busy time, but he agreed to give "Delica club members" a small discount off his regular peak season rate.

He quoted me $80/hr with an estimate of anywhere from 2-4hrs (depending on how much detail work or masking needs to be done for decals, and depending on how much polishing you want done - I have a lot of scratches I want cleaned up).

Delica.ca members can get $10/hr off his regular rate - so $70/hr. Just mention this thread.

Nice work Sergiy, your van looks new! With all the work you've done on it over the years it probably also feels like new!!!

Cheers!

Thanks David,

Yes, I can feel how happy it is now, especially after Mardy's magic mechanical touch; all my complains are well gone by now and the van will go for sale very soon.

Cheers,
Sergiy

Wow, I did not expect so much attention! Thanks guys. Well, just between me and you: one of our most trusted dealers got a replacement beauty for me tonight. That was my call and the rest is in the dealer's hands now.
