The Victoria Day long weekend was pretty uneventful. Got the laundry done, attended a OH&S meeting at the IA. Then I went for a night to Sloquet with my son before he set off to Peru. Place was empty, one other couple. Here are some pictures, enjoy... smiles.

Entry through the vortex was fairly smooth, flux capacitor switch a little sticky ~ just rattled it.

North Bridge on the way in, like a dream.

We were greeted by the local inhabitants.

Being the only people there when we arrived, we had the pick of the site.

The spring was heavenly, with plenty of space to stretch out and float under the star adorned web of boughs that arbour the pools.

The next morning was a little overcast but you know?.... It makes sense in the toolies.

Breakfast was tasty! Cooked eggs, beans, mushrooms, green pepper, with a spiced Ceylon tea. Mm Mm Mm!

During the day the West Lillooet Road is closed so I reluctantly turned towards the East Road, pleasantly surprised to find it has been rebuilt and graded, I would say in better condition than the west road. Watch for logging trucks ~ they're bigger than you are and they are active on both sides of the river.

It started to get a little wet on our way out, the Miss Lil' Bitchi got filthy

It was refreshing to get out of the city, even if just for one night. I slept a solid nine hours opposed to the usual four I get in the city. I should do this more often, rather than getting sucked in by the city and the rat race ~ and remember.... even if you win the rat race ~ you are still a rat.

The End.

I was afraid to open this post and see something I didn't wanna see, Mr. Falco butt naked in a hotspring... Thanks for saving us!!!

Way to go, such a great experience to jump in naturally heated water in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and the sound of a rushing river just meters away, love those places!

Thanks for the "decent" pics!

its good to get into Sloquet early before it gets hot and all the @$$holes show up. last year that was my most problemed patrol route.
