I'm in Red Deer, couple days to kill and its raining. I was going to work on installing inverter today but there is no dry cover here...

Any Delica-savvy alignment joints in the area? Torsion bar tool essential.

Also any source near cow town for 4D56 oil filters other than Lordco. So much road tripping, I'm already due for 2nd oil change!

Kirkham Automotive @ 9298 Horton Road S.W., (Calgary), are familiar with Delicas and have done a wheel alignment on my vehicle and have the specs. Phone # 403 253 2033.
I've been using the Fram PH6355 oil filter with no problems - bought from Part source, may not have it in stock, but can get it in about an hour - about $33.00.

Choice Automotive Electric in Red Deer is excellent by the way. I recommend.

Lube City in Calgary at address below is staffed by Flips, and know Delicas from back home.

4833 Macleod Trail Southwest
Calgary‎ AB‎ T2G 0A7
Canada

Not especially cheap, and the PZ106 filter they carry was suspiciously short (I opted to provide my own) but the manager Greg knew all about Delicas and had done LHD conversions to L300s in Philippines, which is better than most places.

7/10 for quick lube joint.

Kenworth dealers. There's one at 58 Ave & Blackfoot in the SE. Carry Baldwin BD28 at about $17 each. As the counter guy said, if Baldwin is specified for CAT engines, they can't be lousy.

And yes, Kirkham for everything except actual diesel work. But they do timing belts. You can even bring your own oil filters, or oil if you have special stuff in mind. They normally use the NAPA 1067 filters, since they are easy for them to get.

Had Kirkham auto do an alignment on Tuesday.
They were very accommodating of our schedule,
Literally pushed other jobs to the side.
Gave me nice print outs of the before and after alignment values.
Deltron tracks like a champ now.
@ $160 it wasnt the cheapest alignment.

They do that sort of thing. I try to reciprocate by asking when is good time for them when I have non-urgent work; knowing that when I have urgent work they will bend over backwards to do it.

Rumour has it this sort of thing is called customer service. Too bad so many businesses don't understand it.
