My delica stalled on me today.
i filled up my veg tank in my L300, and let my Racor filter(and inline heater) heat up for about 10 minutes before i switched over from diesel to veg.
the engine lost power (so i switched back to diesel)and stalled as i pulled her over.
a few cranks later she was running again. she ran fine after the switch back to diesel.

i haven't run the veg system in my deli for a while... 4+ months. i think i put maybe 1000kms on the racor filter.
does my racor filter need replacing again? do i have plugged lines or something?

any thoughts? *scratches head*

Might not be the answer but that's what I'd start with...
Just drive on diesel to warm her up then switch over to veggie for 10sec and back to diesel for 10sec and so forth. Maybe 2-5min and the air in your line should purge. You'll know 'cause after 1 min. you'll try to keep it longer on veggie until you feel a loss in power (switch back to diesel as soon as you feel it). At some point it will just clear itself up.

i hope that's all it is. i will be driving to VI in the next few days... it sure would be nice to drive to the coast on free oil instead of diesel.

yep. did the switching a few times, and she runs fine on oil again.

Any of the marine shops should be able to help you.
There is one by Departure Bay ferry terminal that has a big Racor sign.
If you hang a Louie coming out of the ferry its in that little mall.

glad you got it worked out.
you should not need to wait 10 minutes to switch to wvo. i start my van on diesel and switch to WVO immediately.. in this weather any way...
i do however have a glowplug that heats the oil until the engine comes to temp....
