Everything but the engine is working fine, if you are in need of parts or have an inclining to rebuild/replace a toasted TDI this is the van for you!
Unfortunately my trusted Deli didn't survive a road trip through the praries last week and is now in Taber Alberta (half hour east of Lethbridge Hwy 3) waiting for a tow. Not sure of the exact issue, but oil in the cylinders was reported and likely has something to do with the troubles.
Highlights:
- Good BF Goodrich tires (another winter no problem),
- new front glass, all others (sky light, sunroof etc) fine and lightly tinted,
- 2" custom hitch (beauty construction, strong enough for the bike rack or trailer too big to tow),
- automatic (just uncouple the drive shaft to tow)
- ~140,000km (I'll have to confirm)
- everything but the motor is ready for more.
- a non leaking fuel pump!
- photo attached is of the van, but before it hit Canadian winters etc so the van today has some rock chips in the paint across the front/bull bar and a million prairie bugs splattered (sorry the van died before it made it to the detail shop) but can still be prettied up
- and a dealer has offered/suggested a ~$1000 value? just want to get give the Delica crew first dibs
Cheers,
Peter
