Im new dont forget ,I would like to know why and what the reason is for adding an additive to the fuel we use how dose it coincide with the engine parts, at first i thought the lower sulfer rating the better but wrong was i says to me, so why more sulfer the better. and is the additive that i ad replaceing that low sulfer.Im learning more as i go but im intrested in things im not sure of.

Hi, and welcome, the sulfer in the fuel was the main lubricant, your engine does not need it at all, but your injection system needs it. and if it doesent get some type of lubricant then the seals start to crack and such, then your pump starts to weep a bit, loss of power and air can start to get into your system,, but if you have air, then you dont have a running engine, but thats going down a different tangent.

from trotac if your in Victoria, or something similar if your out of Vic, you DONT need antijell, tottal waste of money unless your going up to the arctic lol
or if you switch over to a wvo kit then you wont have to worry about it at all. but for $15 every couple months , throw in a ounce of the raycor and for get about it, OH and dont forget to buy a bottle of biocide, (spelling?) diesel grows a type of bacteria that will take out your system also if left to grow, and an ounce of biocide a month will keep you clean and healthy, "like eating ruffage for your body", the biocide will scrub all the nastys out of your fuel system. Oh and the good news is that in japan , fuel lubricants are allready in the fuel, so it should be in good shape when it gets here.

In other post you have written I was under the impression that Biocide should be put in when you are doing an oil change. But you are saying I can put in it the tank anytime?

biocide goes in the fuel tank, you can use it once a month, once every three months, depending on how many tanks of fuel you use. if you fill up every week or more then I would say once a month, but if you dont use that much fuel go longer, as long as you use it . the lubricant, I would put in every other tank full, but I also Only let my tank get down to half, so not only does the fuel in the tank cool the in tank pumps, the left over lubricant will be fine. to keep your pump lubricated.
Its hard to tell someone how much of an additive to use without knowing how much driving is done.
