Pretty common spot I think - I had a leak there too. Switched from 5 - 40 synthetic oil back to 15 - 40 mineral and the leak stopped....

As Konadog says, common on L300. If the leak is AFTER the turbo, and merely making a bit of a mess on the undercarriage, that's common. If it drips down to the ground, or swooshes onto the sides of van while driving, then it is much too much. If leak is before the turbo, it will very much affect your driving, as the air vs fuel ratio is more affected. If turbo totally dies, you will still be able to drive, just goes slow on the uphills etc as not getting enough air into the air vs fuel mixture. You can get the turbo rebuilt, costly, but performance is super responsive. If you're thinking of getting the turbo rebuilt sooner or later, then do it sooner and enjoy passing other delicas on the highway. Cheers, Christine.

Contact CVI (604 247-0500) in Richmond. They already fixed tones of these turbo leaking problems.
