Delica Canada | Mitsubishi Van Club

Has anyone got any non-Delica (i.e. not-brought-in-from-Japan) wheels on their L400? I'm looking locally for a second set for some snow tires, and I keep hitting the same story.

I understand that the stock Delica Wheels are 6 inches wide, with 6x5.5inch (6x139mm) bolt patterns and a 108mm centre hole - no idea about offset - but whenever I find a potential set on Craigslist, most sellers come up blank when I ask particularly about that centre hole.

Most just say "I dunno - they came off a <<insert vehicle here>>".

I understand from earlier posts that L300 wheels and some (all?) Toyota 4Runner wheels are 105 mm centres.

Has anyone bought local wheels that fit their L400? Like, say off a 96 Chev Blazer, or a 2001 Toyota Tacoma, or ??? I had a dig around on the internet, but a detailed list of cross-manufacturer factory wheel dimensions doesn't seem to exist.

I'd like to maximize my chances of success before I drive out somewhere and try to swap one in to see if it fits. Thanks,

6x5.5 bolt pattern

Usually 15/16x7" wheels is common

Center bore hub must be 108mm or more

Thanks Jesse, I saw info that from your previous postings already.

But apart from the L400s, Monteros and GenII Pajeros you list, I can't find info showing any other vehicles out there with the 6x5.5 bolt patterns and 108+mm centre bore as "standard factory" wheels.

If I call a guy who is selling, say, a set of 6x5.5 rims off his Chevy Blazer, and I say "how wide is the centre hole?" Derp derp derp "I dunno - looks like about 4 inches or so". Driving all the way out to Chilliwack to find that they don't fit would be a pain in the a$$.

And I'd rather not go through the process of machining out the centre hole if I can possibly avoid it. So that's why I was wondering if anyone has swapped out rims from a non-Mitsubishi North American vehicle and had them fit unmodified onto their L400. Just exploring my options.

Unfortunately, that's really the only way. See them in person unless they know what the offset/bore measurements are.

I can't see any on the list that have the same/similar offset as our Delica's except maybe the Nissan's. Would be good to find out

How do you know what the offset is/should be? I can't find it on that site...

I believe the offset is 4 1/4", I'm sure Jesse will correct me if I'm wrong.

I managed to find a set off a Toyota 4runner. Before I met the guy I asked him if he would mind waiting while I mounted one of the wheels on to the front of my van. I measured the offset, mounted one tire, then drove a few circles around the parking lot to ensure there was no rubbing. All good.

On the site you've posted I've found that Suburban 71-91 wheels are also compatible. As I recall, those trucks are everywhere and I can imagine the ridiculous amount of wheel available at the scrapyard for those!!! It might be a lead to something! Especially if you're looking for steallies for the winter!
