Water in Fuel light with WVO blending

I'm blending fairly rich in my L400 right now (60-70% WVO) and the water in fuel light just came on. What should I do about this? The van is starting without an issue, which is a bit of a surprise given the temp outside. Do I need to drain the water from my fuel filter, if so, how do I do that? I haven't spent much time looking at the L400 engine, so I'm not even sure where my fuel filter is.

Sounds like you've got water in your WVO.

Fuel filter on an L400, if I remember correctly, is tucked in behind the intercooler. It's a pig to get at - have fun.

The drain is on the bottom. Open that until fuel comes out. Shut it. Drive away with no light on the dash.

Yeah, I thought it would probably be under the intercooler, thanks. I'll have to wait until I drive home tonight to take care of it.

Last fall in Oct I was blending 60/40 wvo/diesel and after a month it pooped on me. I had to drain the tank, crack inject lines, prime, bleed, crack lines, and repeated a number of times before I got a good start and no more bogging at throttle.

L400 liked blending up until then. Had the water light on as well. I'd recommend to run a few tanks without blending to clean your system otherwise you may end up like me back then.

Getting cold ! :-D

Thanks for the help. I know 60-70% is getting pretty greedy for this time of the year. I just haven't had the time to install my kit yet, so I thought I'd see how far I could push it before I got hard starts. I think after this I'll back off to 30-40% and see how that goes. I just hate burning more diesel than I need when I have 3000L of WVO just waiting to be burnt.
