OK soit rained the other day, I mean properly rained.
Was getting the wet floor syndrone and had planned to fix it this weekend.
But to add to the issue now I have no lights.
Little lights under the main assembly on my 92 l300 work fine.
Full Beam (blue light on dash) works fine
Dipped and normal nothing in the main light block.
Checked fuses, checked fuses behind glove box, checked fusible links nothing obvious. I dont have a amp tester thing.
Not sure what else it could be.
Any ideas please.

Where do you live? If you're near Burnaby stop by our home and we can troubleshoot.
Most likely cause is your low beams bulbs, the connection is a bad design, try thumping with your fist on the lens cover (but dont' break it) to see if loose connectors. After that need to remove the headlight lens (make sure you don't unscrew the screws that adjust the aim of the headlight). The low beam bulb has a few inches of white wire attached to it from the manufacturer, and where that wire ends (spade connection) which joins into the connection from the delica wiring, it often gets oxidized or loose, try cleaning it and pinching it tighter with pliers. The actual bulb housing for low beams is held in place by a little metal clip (think paper clip bent) just tighten the wire clip with pliers. Of course, you know never touch the bulb with bare fingers, use a bit of toilet paper or kleenex. L300 low beam bulbs burn out often, especially if you have the lights on during daytime (as I do). You can get replacement bulbs cheaply (less than $10, versus like $70 for brand name) just get generic bulbs, I think its H1 bulbs for low beam and H3 for high beams, but that might be vice versa, the real clue is to get the one with the few inches of which wire attached, as the high beam is only a plain bulb which doesnt have white wire attached.
If its not that, then its the "Combination Wipers and Lights Switch" which is the the entire unit underneath your steering wheel, accessed by removing the steering wheel. This is not an easy fix, as the parts that fail don't have replacement parts. Some have had luck cleaning the contact points. But some find the fault is in the tiny plastic dongly bit that sits at the base of the lights stalk, it gets cracked with age, its purpose actuates when you switch the lever back or forward vs up or down, but there is no replacement part.
You can buy a new Combo switch from CC Autos, or Rocky Mountain Imports dot net, both on Vancouver Island (will mail anywhere). Don't know who has any on the mainland at the moment. Beware buying used, as no guaranty.
Cheers, Christine. PS: Our high beams are so dim, you won't blind other drivers.

Thanx for advice. Sadly I live oz but was getting no response of that forum so tried this one.
I pulled the passenger lights out and bulb looked ok. Haven't done drivers yet but if it was a bulb would it not be the case that the other side worked. ie only the blown ones wouldn't work.
As for the switch. The indicators work and the high beam back and forward work. If I turn the knob one click the small little lights below the main cluster work it's just none in the main binnacle on either setting 1 or 2 work until I put high beam on ( blue light on dash) then the binnacle comes alive as normal if that makes sense.
Would live to drive it to you for help but me thinks even with a snorkel it won't cross seas.
Cheers jim

Just a guess... But if the water is leaking through and dripping on all the wiring gizmos under your driving foot it might be corroding contacts ETC and giving you greif with your lights!!
I noticed this morning Delicasaurus is leaking as well (Wet under drivers accelerator foot) ..And guess what!! (The timing of your post)...My lights did not come on when I first turned the switch!! They did however after fiddling a bit with it.I think I need to re-seal the front end ASAP around the light area. Its a common area for the sealent to dry crack and leak!Moisture does horrible thing to electrical circuts.

My L300 got pretty damp from sitting in the rain for a few days. Even the high surfaces felt a little damp, not to mention the floor. When the sky cleared for a few hours, I fired her up and cranked both heaters, using all the vents. I let her run for half an hour and she dried right up.
This is not the first older car I've owned in Vancouver. The winter ritual continues...

Well Ive checked all the bulbs they look OK
I didnt expect them not to be as there is one in the quarter light and two in the main light so it would have been pretty stunning for 4 bulbs to have blown at once. The high beam bulb works.
That brings me to wiring I guess or the main switch. I noticed today that when I put the indicator on if the engine isnt running the red lights on the dash oil etc dim slightly with each flash. I would normally assume this is low charge on the battery but it fires up easy. Not sure if this is normal or indicates a wiring/earthing issue.
I will look at the main switch next.
