I am really enjoying the delica but I really want to start making it mine by customizing it. I wanted more storage areas for small items so I started with the upper dash and I am really please with this mod - it was cheap and quick.
I started by removing the glove box to make sure there was enough room for the bin I was about to add. I then cut into the top of the dash with a carpet knife.

With the outline complete it was time to insert the bin.

Not a lot of storage, but great for cell phones, iPods, cameras or anything small that you want accessable without sliding of the dash.

Simple. Cheap. Very useful!
Great mod BproofOG. Will add that to my list as well.

Thanks! I really like your white delica and I plan on doing some of the mods on mine that you have done to yours.
How are the whited out windows working out? I would like to replace one of my back non-sliding windows to allow me to mount a some useful items in the space where the window was.

So far the solid side panels work out well, except of a little leak in the back. I still need to adjust the latch to close tighter. Other than that all good. We will see how well it holds up during the winter. If you don't need to open the window at all you might just want to rivet a sheet of metal to the inside lip of the window frame.

If your wooden windows are thinner than the glass window you should install a shorter screw in the back hinge assembly. that will pull the window in slightly and may solve your leak problem. I ran into that problem with my window.

Thanks for the tip Wayne. I don't think they are thinner, but will check it out next time.
