Super Exceeding the seating limit!!!

I am here on behalf of my friend who is the actual Delica owner, he has what I believe is a 1993 Super Exceed with the front swivel buckets and seating for seven. The dilemma is this, he now has as of yesterday a new wonderful addition to his family of five kids and his lovely wife. My question is, can or will a bench seat bolt into a swivel bucket location?? I have read many posts on here about different mods that have been done to the seats etc. but I don't want to tell my buddy Hey!! you dont have to buy a different vehicle now we just have to get a used bench ( he has been quite sad at the thought of having to get rid of his van, he loves it) and I have found him a used front bench for $50 but the auto wrecker couldn't verify that it would bolt in. Maybe one of you that have had your van apart could tell me if the mounting holes are maybe there and not used because of the varying models, like my Honda civic DX has spots for many things that came in the higher SI model you just have to have the SI part and your good. (hopefully I'm explaining myself clearly) Please someone help me out, as where I'm at BC Kootenays (Trail) there's not many Delica's, (Nelson yes) that I can look at to verify the seat mounts/seatbelts. In case your wondering why my friend is not on here himself, he's not the mechanical type of person and I have broken my knuckles a few times so I'd like to help if possible.
Thanks for your time,
Mike's friend
PS: I think Delica's are killer and all things JDM rock!!!
my fun japanese car is my 92 civic running 10lbs boost with my jackson racing supercharger

Short answer : no.
Long answer : yes if you do some welding, which leads to a maybe - possible legal issues down the road. Changing the passenger rating for a vehicle can be a tough hurdle. It's rated for 7 passengers. You add another passenger. You are changing that classification on that vehicle.
Unless something has changed that I'm unaware of, doing the above can get you into some serious trouble with TC/motor vehicle/ICBC/Police.
An alternative, if you end up considering it, is a 1994 or newer L400 Delica Spacegear low-roof model. The low-roof models are classified as an 8-seater with driver/passenger should belts - middle bench shoulder belts on sides and lapbelt in the middle - rear bench shoulder belts and lapbelt in the middle.

I am wondering why your buddy can't use the buckets to mount a baby seat. I don't have kids so haven't explored this at all but it would seem that any seat that is rated safe for a seat-belted passenger should also be safe to mount a baby seat... no? Is it a problem with the anchor points for the seat? If you are going to the effort of changing seats entirely, perhaps a bolt-in baby seat anchor system would be a solution. Just throwing ideas out there... not sure how feasible they are.
As JFarsang notes, welding things will not be a good solution, I always thought welding was a good (and permanent) way of securing things but I found out that bolts are actually more acceptable as welds can corrode over time then fail. Of course, the bolts would need to be automotive grade.
I am surprised that a front bench from an 8-passenger wouldn't bolt into a captains chair version as I understood the bolt configuration was already there. Perhaps I am misinformed. Also, I wonder if an 8-seater is actually rated for 8 passengers because the 8th seat (the jump seat) doesn't have a seat belt. A little off topic but would still determine the legality of changing from captains chairs to benches.

This thread may help your friend. You can mount 5 child seats in a 7 seater Delica. 3 across the back and one in each of the middle captain's seats.
