I changed a burnt out low beam bulb in the headlight in my Deli, which is not very exciting for some of you but pretty exciting for me. It was quite straight forward and only took me about 30 minutes. Thanks to the following postings. http://www.delica.ca/forum/here-s-how-t ... +headlight

By the way the bulbs were easy to locate at my local (Ontario) Canadian Tire. Seemed like there were lots on the shelves. I took both of the bulbs with me which made finding new ones easy.

So I have difficulty with identifying right and left which would make it interesting for my students when I was guiding white water kayaking...but I digress. When I pulled out the headlight and then looked at it from the back I mixed up my right and left which meant that I inadvertently pulled out the working high beam. I wondered why my bulb looked different than the picture but hey what do I know I have never done this before. So after purchasing what I thought was the low beam bulb I tossed out the old and went home to install the new.

After installing the bulb and reconnecting the headlight I turned on my lights and realized that I had just switched out a working bulb. After slapping my forehead and emitting a "Duh" I went back to the store and purchased the low beam bulb.

Bulbs are bulbs, but the tricky bit (read expensive) is the lens.

I do like that one thing about my Pajero: 7" round headlights, just like on most NAMPOS trucks of the same era (and 30 years before).
