Hello. I am a veteran to the Volkswagen forums, so I have learned to "use the Search" but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know the L400 horsepower? Thanks

4D56 2.5 L TD I4
4G64 2.4 L I4
4M40 2.8 L TD I4
6G72 3.0 L V6

For a lot more info on L400's a good place to start looking is on the UK site http://www.mdocuk.co.uk/forums/. Their L400 Technical has been running a long time and has most answers....like ones about hp.

just google the engine that your are interested in most likely a 4m40 and general hp / torque is easy to find.

Are we talking about 'Airspeed?'... If so, me too a few years back when it started up

Sorry, I was wondering about the 4M40 2.8 L TD I4. I did some more googling and have found 125hp on the Pajero forums for that type a couple of times. I assume it is same as for the Delica. Thanks

No, I am addicted to the Samba and a member of my local VW club. My Westy rules my life. Now I am branching out into a Delica because I talked the Banker/Wife into one. We have a little 8 month old and need a year round family hauler, at least that is what I told her.
