In some other post that I can't recall the title, the topic of wvo tank came up and I had promised Adam I'd post my mods to AndrewH tanks so here it is, :-)

On this picture the coolant heat comes on the driver's side as it's easier to T from the rear heater so I had them relocated. The fuel pick up is also in that corner to ease routing.

On this second picture I had the sight gauge moved up to avoid ripping it off while wheeling (it's been tested since with succes!) and I ditched the sump and have a regular style fuel pick up from the top which avoids that low sump and also avoids having dirt in your tank making it into your fuel lines. I do use a electric fuel pump but not even sure if I'd need it, doesn't hurt though when the oil is still cold in the tank.

Hi,

The spare found it's way in my garage when I'm in the city and on the roof or behind rear bench when camping. That's for until I find the time to put it on my hitch bar.

Hey David,

Thanks for posting the pictures of the tank. I want to get one custom built to fit in the spare tire spot on my LWB L400. I'm hoping I can get it in the 120L region, seeing as the fuel economy on my L400 is a lot less than my L300. It is a heavier vehicle, with a bigger engine and a 1' taller than my old L300, plus I've been driving in AWD for most of the past couple of weeks with the torrential rains we have been having.

I like the way you've tucked all the hosed beside the tank instead of out the bottom. They'll be much harder to rip off on rough roads.

Hi David, thanks for your thoughts on tyres and all your AMAZING work on the WVO. Inspirational. I have been dreaming of it ever since buying the van.
I found the posts of the original conversion and your solution to the filling the rear tank is awesome.
I love the fact it is so tidy.
Thanks again.
