seat interchangeability
Is it possible to change the mid row seats from the 3 person bench to the 2 captain chairs? I know the captains chairs slide on rails, and mount differently from the bench, but does the mounting unbolt from the floor of the van, or is it built into the floor? I found a van that I'd like to buy, but ...

Anyone have any experience with 4 cyl gas models?
I've been driving my L400 3.0L v6 gas for 3 or 4 years now. I'm extremely happy with it. It's been exceptionally reliable. For the last 50,000kms, all I've done is change oil. Anyhow, someone backed into me today, and my van might be a total loss. I will probably be in the market for a new van...

Re: strange sunroof problem. Anyone had this?
The thing is, my sunroof moves about freely, so I don't think the gear is stripped. It doesn't get stuck open, it closes, but then opens itself again.

Re: strange sunroof problem. Anyone had this?
Well that's kind of lame. I guess I'll just keep a 3mm allen key handy incase the weather gets ugly!

strange sunroof problem. Anyone had this?
I was told when I bought my l400, that the sunroof was not working properly, and needed to be closed with the allen key if it's opened. I decided with the weather getting nice, I should fix it now. I opened the sunroof to see what exactly it's doing. First I just hit the button to pop it up. It popp...

Rear brake calliper confirmation
I need a right rear calliper for my l400. I read on here that one from a montero sport 2000-2003 will work, but just looking at pictures of montero callipers, it looks nothing like the l400 caliper. The l400 calliper, and bracket are 2 seperate parts. The bracket bolts on first and hold the pads on,...

Re: Gas>Diesel?
I know people are suggesting that I just buy a Astro van or Windstar etc. I would have, except for 2 reasons. 1:I have owned many domestics, and will try to avoid them in the future. The build quality just isn't there. 2:I bought the Delica strictly because of it's roof height. I ride motocross, and...

Re: Gas>Diesel?
Diesels are generally made for towing or hauling. The torque is what you need to get the weight around, but with the delica, the engine is just too small. The L300 hardly has the power to move itself, and I don't think I'd tow much more than a small utility trailer with the L400. I know the diesel d...

Gas>Diesel?
Well, I'm well aware this post will strike an augment from the bulk of the population on here, but I've been left scratching my head for some time now, and can only seem to come to one conclusion. Gasser Delicas are superior to or equal to in every way. I'll run down a list of comparisons, and then ...

stock amplifier?
I just did a stereo install with new head unit, amps, speakers etc. I ran new speaker wire for the front speakers, but used the stock wire for the back. I noticed the colors for the rear speakers is different at the deck, than it is at the back of the van. Are the stock speakers amplified? The rear ...

Re: L400 - How to Fix the Locking Lapbelt for Child Seat?
Now I have a flapping wall panel that won't remount to the plastic clips. :-( If you pull the wall panel back and look at the clips, there are metal clips, that slide over the plastic tabs on the wall panel. When you pull the wall panel off the side of the van, the metal clips often stay in the slo...

Re: ECS Button
I believe it's the other way around. "sport mode" is supposed to stiffen the suspension to make it more stable at higher speeds or when on twisty roads. The normal setting smooths out the suspension to absorb more bumps and be more comfortable. Odds of the ECS shocks functioning as they we...
