Low humming noise and slight vibration coming from right rear

I would recommend looking at your u-joints, if you haven't. I had vibration and shaking that would change depending on what speed i was going. On one long drive home the vibration got worse until my u-joint at the rear diff broke loose and the propeller shaft swung around at the t-case and bashed up...

L300 Head replacement and timing belt DIY, step by step

Hey guys, I'll be looking to replace my head gasket soon as it's pooched, just curious if it's entirely necessary to replace the head bolts when I do it.

Thanks!

Main essential tools

I'd recommend a set of metric ratcheting wrenches. Gearwrench makes them and Napa sells them under their Ultrapro line for cheaper than the brand name versions. The metric kit is 8mm to 17mm I believe and with the flexy, ratcheting closed-end wrench they are super handy! :-D

Glow Plugs Cycling on and off after engine start fixed with Temp Sensor

For glow plugs, Rock Auto .com lists the NGK 2161 6V plug as a aftermarket replacement for the glow plugs in the 1985 Mighty Max with the 2.3L diesel as well as the 1985 Dodge D50 with the 2.3L. When I looked up the Mitsubishi part number thru Partsouq and cross referenced it into a common brand I f...

Changing the Fuel Filter L300?

Make sure your upper filter housing is clear of gunk before reassembling. I had an issue recently with gunk getting trapped in the primer valve, leaving me unable to prime the fuel system! Not sure where it came from... maybe changing the filter more regularly would prevent the goo building up :?

LED Headlight Bulbs

Companies like Putco and Brightsource make led kits in the H3 and H1. The high end kits can put out 4000 lumens and last much longer than a standard bulb. They have a foil heatsink which should fit into the housing pretty well. I can't speak to the light pattern from our headlights but have heard go...

Bad head gasket?

Hey guys! Been doing some searching on here in regards to head gaskets/cracked heads after noticing my coolant overflow bottle bubbling like a fish tank! I recently replaced my fuel filter and had some issues with my primer (turned out to be gunk stuck in the valve of the primer pump) which led to s...

Recharge Air Shocks fo Tail Gate

I have Lift Gate Depot struts I ordered from eBay and they work! I would have preferred to get my original struts recharged because they are heavier duty than the replacements. They seem to hold up however, the real test will be when it gets below freezing. If a recharge is available nearby I would ...

Glow Plugs Cycling on and off after engine start fixed with Temp Sensor

I recently have had this same issue, Glow plugs cycling fine, clicking twice and starting (sometimes rough) but clicking intermittently for up to a minute after starting. I tried replacing all the solenoids and relays with some good used ones I got for 20 bucks. Should have considered the temp senso...

Re: 3500 rpm at 90 km/h

Hi guys, I'm having a similar issue, have had it for months but learned to live with it. My van doesn't shift into 4th gear on the highway unless I'm heading downhill slightly and let of the had pedal sharply. Then it will go into 4th. I've read that adjusting the tps sensor could help, or the kick ...

Re: Fan clutch refill

Hi guys, I'm attempting to refill my clutch as my fan spins long after the engine is off, with the temp gauge reading about half. . This post didn't explain how much fluid to add. I added 18ml into the clutch after cleaning and draining it for a few hours as I couldn't find a definite answer. This se...

Re: 235/75R15 vs 30/9.5R15

Good information! I have thought of trying a set of 31" tires but decided they're too big. I have the front lifted 2" and was wondering if anyone running the 30" tires Without any rubbing issues has an automatic with the metal rad guard/step things. If 30" tires would allow full ...

Re: DELICA light

Thanks for link thats exact what I'm talking about. It turns out the led's i put in aren't strong enough, they were just some spares I had for dash light replacements. I'm going to hunt tomorrow for some better bulbs to put in! It just looks like glow in the dark right now. Super cool though!! Excit...
