Re: Pajero 2.8 4M40 or L400 Block heater

I couldn't find this number anywhere. It came up in the depths of Temro's catalogue, but apart from that no parts store I called could even find that number let alone availability. I found the zero start 3100071 heater is the right diameter and depth and was readily available. Check out the Pajero s...

Re: Delica P35W won't start -- could it be the glow plugs?

Well the battery light will come on with the key in the "on" position because the alternator is not charging, so as long as it is cranking normally your electrical system should be ok. With the lack of glow plug relay clicking my money would be on the control unit, it's a pretty common iss...

Re: Delica P35W won't start -- could it be the glow plugs?

Sounds to me like the glow plug controller kicked the bucket. First thing's first check the fuses, if they're all ok I would start by trying to jumper the glow plug relay control circuit and just hold it for 6 seconds or so, and have someone crank it to see if it will go. If it does then you'd need ...

Re: Inline Coolant heater.

http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=16399 Might want to give this a look 8-) Right on thanks a lot! But how different is it on the delica? I'm at work so I can't take a peak on the deli right now. When I replaced my batteries I noticed the battery tray was broken, so I need to take ...

Re: Other kind of performance

Also keep in mind that with a taller final drive it would take more energy to get up to the cruising speed. It may save you a few pennies on the highway, but you might end up shooting yourself in the foot in town.

Cheers Tojo! Let me know how it goes on the Deli. I'd imagine there is a little less room to work with.

Re: Southern Ontario summer cruise?

I would be down for a small get together, I've met up with some guys from the RHD Niagara facebook group before, just for hangouts and a cruise of the Niagara River Parkway. They drive Skylines and EVOs and such but they're a great group of guys (and gals) to hang out with and talk cars. Maybe we co...

Re: ROLLCALL!!! - New and old members!

I'm back 1994 V46 Pajero LWB 2.8L Diesel Only 110,---kms on the clock, and plenty of undercoating to keep the rusties away! In St. Catharines, Ontario. She's mainly just a DD runabout and winter beast. I've taken to riding my Honda for adventures, and I'm nearly finished an overhaul on my Suzuki whi...

Re: RHD Insurance - Good news!!

I'm eagerly awaiting any more news on this. I've been given the royal run-around from State Farm. Right now I'm paying "B" class rates on both my motorcycles and my Pajero even though I have no tickets and no claims. As far as they're concerned my record should have me on the cheaper end o...

4M-40 Block Heater Guide

This guide is written for a 1994 V46 Pajero 4M-40 2.8L. The part # and frost plug location should be the same on the L400 Delica with 4M-40 2.8L, but unfortunately I don't have one to look at to verify 8-) Hello all, I haven't been on here in a long time as I took a hiatus from my Pajero for a while...

Re: L400 Brake Slider Pins- Cleaning and Regreasing

At work I use a silicone grease (similar to Syl Glide) on the pins. Even if they are seized they can still be saved with a bit of heat and rust cleaning. The pins are crucial, but don't forget about the anchor. Use a wire wheel or at least a wire brush to clean the pad contact points. There should b...

Re: Pajero section

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the 2.5L Paj's share the same running gear as the 3.0L gasser, and the 2.8L shares with the 3.5L gasser. There are some differences in parts, but generally they are same in construction. Not as different as the L300 to the L400, but still different.

Ontario Drive Clean Updates!

"Your attention please for a public service announcement!!!" - Is what the Ontario government should have been saying for the past 8 months. Instead they have failed to educate the populous and have "sprung upon us" new Drive Clean regulations :? . I only just realized the other ...
