Re: Rear axle replacement for 1992 L300?
- how do I top up the fluid that's leaking? He said I need to watch for fluid levels, but I really dont know which ones and how :-( ! there's a 24mm nut on the rear of the diff housing halfway up it, this is the filler plug and you squirt diff oil in there until it starts dripping out that hole. he...

Re: Central locking
there is a chance the model might not have central locking spec. If there are not terminals on the lock mech there is no motor to operate.
if there are dash wires, you'd be able to get a unit for the lock from another van

Re: Towing the L300
transfer case disengages front only or else you'd be able to put tranny in gear eg D, disengage transfer case, and not move on revving the engine

Re: thinking of getting a brand new engine. newb ?'s
for what it's worth, the manuals may be able to confirm if the bell housing profile is the same between diesel and gas but on at least the Manual transmission, the starter motor mounts in a different place between the diesel and petrol motors, and the bell housing is looking like a different shape eg...

compression l300 4d56
Well I looked in a few other threads, and my numbers are concerning: did a compression test today using a brand new kit, not done this for about 20 years. 1 = 420 2 = 415 3 = 300 with oil 380 4 = 340 with oil 375 Added tons of oil. may possibly have not put the adapter into the injector hole on 3 pr...

Re: Clicking constantly
i've had such intermittent weirdness from the various connectors being corroded, check the strip connector plug in the loom front of the battery, the fat connector plug from the alternator power lead halfway up from the alternator itself, located in front of where the air cleaner is , the plugs into...

head swap 4d56
I'm going to put a head off a turbo 4d56t onto a non turbo 4d56 block. the non-t is blowing out the air cleaner and has lost power. I figure that's cracked around the valves or else into the oil-way and coming thru the breather into the manifold, heaps of atmosphere comes blasting out when i lift th...
