Parking Brake Warning Light - always lit

definingdigital wrote:Just ran into the same issue. My Parking brake came on a while back, I thought it might be a short or something. Just found this post today, topped up the brake fluid and light went out. =)
I'm glad you posted this as I had the same problem.

no crank/no start no second click?

Something like this happened to me and it was a simple loose connector near the battery. The culprit was the wire that goes to the starter (left side looking back at the battery) with a fusible link connector inbetween.

Intercooler, because why not.

Essentially, you do not need to restrict to just using intercoolers from diesel cars. But you do need good intercooler components, placed in ideal locations. Often, this means moving away from oem locations, like in the top of the engine bay above a motor. Ideally, a custom IC is usually best to fi...

Re: 1990 L300 - reverse lights won't turn on

Never mind it seems after digging some more I found out it is a solenoid. Anytime have a pic of it on an automatic or am I just blind?

Re: 1990 L300 - reverse lights won't turn on

Is this the switch for an automatic ('92)? It seems to have a wire that goes to another sensor/switch on the other side. This is the left (passenger) side of the transmission.

Re: Parasitic Drain - Drawing .080 Amps

Update: I found the original source of the 2-3A draw. My EGT signal wire was shorting out with the brake light switch. I also removed an unused speaker wire going to the back of the vehicle and my draw is now down to .06-.07. EDIT: and I think its the Turbo timer that is contributing to a higher dra...

Re: Who has a second battery installed?

What I did was add a non gassing (sealed) battery inside the van and connected it by a solenoid for charging when needed. You could do this via your ignition switch but I chose to put in a system that would start charging the “house” battery when I pushed a button, and disconnect it when the igniti...

Re: Parasitic Drain - Drawing .080 Amps

Sorry I wasn't very specific.

This was with the keys off and the door closed. The ebrake light is only on when the vehicle is on.

Parasitic Drain - Drawing .080 Amps

So I tried to install a boost gauge and then my van wouldn't start. Charged up the batteries only to find it happen again. I then tested the parasitic drain and my draw was over 3 amps coming from my boost gauge. I disconnected and now have a draw of .08 amps. I have read that anything over .05 amps...
