Re: Calgary and area meet N greet then drive someplace ...

Have a good time team.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make the Sunday meet on the 21st, mandatory soccer meeting.
Enjoy the drive.

Re: Adventures of Betty and Veronica (the high maintenance van)

Belts are fine, everything is good and clean and new in that area. Have no idea what was done during the rebuild of the alternator, it was just rebuilt in September this year. Can all these cold starts over the last two weeks has some effect on everything in terms of burning out the alternator faste...

Adventures of Betty and Veronica (the high maintenance van)

In the past year, I (Betty) have had to replace a cracked head, a windshield, a fan clutch, a fuel filter and various smaller parts, cleaned the radiator out completely, install an inline heater and had the alternator rebuilt on my Delica Chamonix, Veronica! Now my wonderful and currently less than ...

Re: HELP! Stranded in Whistler!

I was dealing with the same problems when the weather dipped below zero in Calgary. My best advice is to get it boosted again (for a longer amount of time) and then keep it warm. It's possible to force it to turn over if you just keep at it but that's really hard on the starter and the engine. Mine ...

Hello hello Been kicking around the Delica site for a couple months now. Got my Delica in Parksville, BC February 2008 and love it. It's a 1992 Chamonix Star Wagon that can be found tearing through the streets of Calgary. No official name for the van yet but my friends and I have christened it somet...

Re: 2008 Calgary Deli meet 16 November

I'm going to play dumb blonde here,
The meet for sure is Sunday the 16th?
Is it alright if I pile all my friends in my van and bring them along?

Re: Headlight Headache

Fixed the problem (so far...) The module installed in my van was running my headlights all the time ,which cheap bulbs or not, was causing them to crack from way too much voltage too often. The solution was to simply find the module (mine was installed on the driver's side just behind the turning li...

Re: Headlight Headache

So here's what I've figured out so far. It is not a blown fuse. It is not faulty wiring. The model number of my van is P35, if that is anything useful. The light bulbs were put in with gloves, so no hot spots. Would it be wise to disconnect the daytime running lights or would it be better to get a v...

Headlight Headache

I've been scanning the forum for some helpful hints to my problem. My headlights (both) burnt out close to the end of May this summer. They were replaced in mid July and have once again both burnt out. No other lights in or outside of the Delica are burnt so I'm pretty sure it isn't a massive electr...

DCMF 08 AND BEYOND

Spotted 3 Delicas while kicking around the Yukon. Two in Dawson City for the music fest. The first was a blue delica exceed (?) with roof rack (B.C. plates) camping out in the parking lot of the Palace Grande. The other was a white delica from Whitehorse at the shell station leaving town last day of...

Re: Inuvik or bust by expedition Delica

Sorry this is random. Sounds like you guys are having a great trip. From the photos it looks like I missed you guys by a couple days. Was in the Yukon for the Dawson City Music Fest, visiting family and hanging out at my place in Tagish. This seemed to be the year for Delica sightings up there. Hope...

Sasquatch 2008

Another rowdy kick off the the summer music festival circuit. Met one Delica owner from B.C. (hey Adam) saw another (Alberta plates) pull out of the camp ground last day as we were packing up. Any other Delica owners hit up the Sasquatch music fest this memorial weekend?
