What did you do TO your Delica today?

Been having starting problems lately. Part of it was the broken wireing, but she still starts slow when she's warm. So I decided to spend Sunday cleaning and to do a refurbishment on the starter motor. It came out and went back in really easily! Hopefully this fixes my problem, but I bet I'll have t...

Hello from Victoria!

If your wanting to save in costs, then a gasser is the way to go. Diesels are a little more expensive maintenance wise, simply because parts cost more $$. I think I'm somewhere around 5k this year alone on my diesel, and not done yet. Whereas from my understanding, you can get some parts for a gas e...

Camperize buildout ideas preserving the middle seats?

Yes, mine are the captain's chairs so I turn each one around, pull the bed out, then flip up the bottom seat of the chair to support the bed frame. In about 10- 15 minutes I can go from a 4 seater van to a 2 person sleeper. I'm around a little this week, I also sent you an email with my address and ...

Camperize buildout ideas preserving the middle seats?

It's totally possible! I built one for myself that has a slide out section for each seat. Giving me a little more room in the morning. However it did end up quite high and I still haven't bothered to figure out how to drop it down in hight and still support it on the seats. You can take a look at my...

Hi Joe,

Welcome to the forum. The answers you seek are located in the technical reference library's. There should be a PDF for the super select transfercase in there.

New Deli in Saskatchewan! Hello!

Welcome Patrick! You mentioned that you were installing a secondary Diesel heater for your van. I think some guys have removed the rear heating unit and used the piping for the Diesel heater. It's what I have always wanted to do along with adding a breather fan. There's a ton of info here, but somet...

FEBEST Ball Joints

So did anyone find out if the Montero/L400/Pajero lower balljoints are the same? They sure as hell look like they are!

Super select front wheel lights flashing while driving?

Hey Justin, All of the shop manuals for the L400 Vans are in the technical reference library's section. There's everything from the engine, suspension drivetrain to the wireing harnesses there. You should be able to assess it yourself, but honestly I'm not sure how. It's not a part of my van I have ...

Help! No power steering, very stiff brake pedal

Well I can't help as to what's causing the squeaking. But It is possible to drain or flush the power steering fluid. Keep in mind that I'm not a L300 owner, but an L400. However the power steering setups are similar from what I can tell. At the resivor that you filled up there should be 2 hoses comi...

Hello from a US-based Delica JB500 camper!

Looks good for the interior! But I'm not seeing any photos of the underside. Have you had it checked for rust or had the engine serviced/looked at yet?

Man I didn't realize the throttle adjust was that simple! Definitely going to build my own now!
Might use one of these instead of the wing nut though...

looking for local shop

Yeah, the forums have kinda died off and Facebook has replaced them. There's still a ton of info here, but you have to dig for it. I wish more people would use the forums, but you can't change society.

Unfortunately I'm on the west coast and am unable to help you out with Calgary shops. :-(

Rear backup/bumper Mirror removable?

Yep, pop the cover off then it's held with 3 #3 Phillips machine screws. Maybe just get some black machine screws and put them back in? Would look better then the brass/gold ones Mitsubishi used
