Thanks. I'll go have a look after the rain stops. I hope it is that simple of a fix. I'll still take a picture of the gasket, I'm curious if that would also help. Have also considered putting a rubber washer on the bottom of the filter, too. I'll let you know what happens.

I wonder if the problem might be the rubber gasket between the two assemblies. It looked a little dry, flat and had a couple small, small cracks. Does anyone know where to get such a gasket?
