Re: Wiper drive hubs.
Don't take your dash apart as they tighten from the outside. I tightened mine by prying up the rubber boot just under the wiper arm enough to see the nut and get a wrench on. It might be easier to take the wiper arm off first but mine are seized pretty bad and I didn't want to take the chance of br...

Re: Hi From Oz
Good to have you Ozzies on site, welcome. I have been wondering what you gents down under can get in the way of L300 manuals? did the dealer let any of those get out into the public? We are all interested in getting at a proper set of books on these up here if there are any to be had. Felize Anyo Nu...

Re: Wiper drive hubs.
Thanks thats good news about being able to do this from the outside. I am going to go at this today and I'll let you know how
I make out. I had the van painted recently and I suspect this results from the laminero's lack of attention to detail. Gracias.

Wiper drive hubs.
I just today noticed that both my wiper drive hubs (where they come through the front panel) are loose. The driver side is very loose and I need to figure it out quick. Has anyone messed around up there behind the dash with this. I remember seeing a wiper motor behind the glove box but thats about a...

Re: A couple questions, lug nuts and MPG.
I had it done in Mexico so the cost won't be a good indicator of doing it here. I paid for cleaning and nozzle replacement and had the popping pressure checked on the test bench. I didn't have the spec for the pressure but they were all within 20 psi of one another. It cost 700 pesos/ injector or 28...

Re: L400 2.8L Diesel Expected Lifespan
My dad has 990,000km on his '89 cumins turbo diesel which has never had any work done on the engine and runs better than the day he bought it new (or so he claims, it gets better mileage now!). Of course I drive a gasser L300 though... Josh Hey Josh: Might be a good idea to tell your dad to get the...

Re: 5 SPD transmission?
Sorry to hear about the "chunks" coming out of it, thats never good. It may be cheaper, faster, better to find a used box than to rebuild
the old one. Let us know how it pans out for you. Merry Christmas.

Re: 5 SPD transmission?
Good questions, also is there any metal flake in the oil. If so another long drive may cost more than getting it towed in. Good luckjfarsang wrote:What does the fluid smell like and what level was it at ?

Re: Transmission Chaos
Does the stick go into the reverse gate or is it binding up and stopping the stick from going in? If it goes in but there is no reverse engagement it may be a bent shifter fork. If it won't go in at all it may be a problem with a shifter rail or detent ball on the rail. Neither is probably the end ...

Re: Delica to Mexico
I have had pretty good luck down here with buying parts. The crossover items from the montero/pajeo and the hyundai h100 have covered me pretty well so far until today when I got stumped looking for leaf spring bushings. Mine are not too bad just enough wear in them to clunk a bit on uneven roads. I...
