L400 Bull Bar

I need to replace my recently bent up bull bar. My van is a 1994. I'm open to stock or non-stock bars that would fit. Even if they won't quite fit, I'm open to modifying them.

Let me know what you have.

Thanks.

Re: oil pressure light on at idle

Since my first post, the light started staying on at almost any idle. Sometimes flickering, sometimes solid. After reading your replies, stever1000 and Big-Bird, I was able to find what I believe to be the oil pressure sending unit. Big-Bird, I tried finding your post but was unsuccessful. But this,...

oil pressure light on at idle

My oil pressure light has recently started to light up at idle. As soon as I apply some throttle, it goes out. Just recently, I changed the oil but it's the same. I've found a few related things searching around the forum; oil pressure sensor, thinner oil. Has anyone else had this and cured it? Any ...

Re: Interior Coolant Leak

Thanks for the tips, guys.

That writeup looks great, Big Bird. Very detailed. What type of solder did you use? Plumbing?

Re: Interior Coolant Leak

That was my guess too. Today I saw vapor coming out of the vent that blows on the windshield.

I was hoping that someone who knew more than me might have other ideas that were easier to fix.

Thanks for the help.

Interior Coolant Leak

I noticed a puddle of coolant on my passenger side floor mat this morning. The leak appears to be coming from the vent. I imagine this is unhealthy for my van and me. Does anyone have any idea what I might be dealing with here and what is involved in a repair? Please enjoy images below. Here's the p...

Re: Squeaky Ball Joints (not steering rack)

After not finding anything too clear on CV axle removal on the forums, I went back to the actual van and found the C-clip to which you were referring. It was hidden under a lot of grease... Everything went nice and smooth after that.

I really appreciate all of the help.

Re: Squeaky steering rack

Thanks for the video, Big-Bird, that was helpful. It's always good to know what parts of my van I can use a hammer on :) I finally made some time to fix my squeak. I have the upper ball joint out but the lower one I'm having trouble pulling out of the suspension arm. I still have the hub/axle shaft ...

Re: Squeaky steering rack

Thanks for all the advice. I had a chance to get under it while someone turned the steering wheel. Using my hands to feel for vibes I figure it's the lower ball joint. From what I've read, it makes sense to replace all 4 ball joints now and only have to get one alignment. Assuming the other ball joi...

Re: Squeaky steering rack

Thanks for the info. I'll get back under there and try to pinpoint the squeak. Another thing I noticed today is that it only squeaks when I turn to the right. Never when turning to the left. If it's a slow turn, squeak. If I turn the wheel fast, no squeak. I'm not sure if this helps anyone help me. ...

Squeaky Ball Joints (not steering rack)

My van developed this squeak in the steering after long trips. 6 months later it now squeaks every time I drive it. I've greased all the grease points. I'm sure this noise is coming from the steering rack. The PS fluid level is good and the colour is a light brown. It has under 120K on the odometer....

Re: front ball joint greasing

I think one of the reasons it's starting to fail is that there is a small hole in the boot. After a bit of research outside the Delica forum, it seems that sealed ball joints should be replaced as it's near impossible to properly grease the ball/cup by piercing through the boot. But it seems to be a...

front ball joint greasing

I have looked and couldn't find anything to shed some light on this situation. I am getting a strong squeak coming from my passenger side ball joints when I steer (only happens after a longer drive (ie. highway driving). I went through and greased anything with a nipple but I am not seeing any nippl...

Re: L400 stock shock upgrade?

I just got myself a set of Procomps, based on the part numbers above, and a full set of 5/8" poly bushings. After removing one of the rear shocks, I noticed that the bushing is too small on the Procomp. The inner diameter on the 5/8" bushing is indeed 5/8" but hen I slid the metal 'sl...

Re: Blow Off Valve (BOV/BPV or maybe Relief Valve)

Any progress on this? Did you get it fixed? My van's been hooting too. At least it was while I was driving around the mainland with the family and a bunch of gear. Now that I'm back in Victoria, I haven't heard it. Somewhere around 2500rpm in 2nd (or 3rd). Only in the one gear at around the same spe...
