What size of bolt did you end up using? I just figured out that infernal squeaking wasn't exhaust related but a wobbly alternator mount.
Any tips on drilling the mount? Maybe a recommendation on the tool/adapter you used? Thanks, Leaf.

Re: WTB F&R gearing from 5-speed, poss. trade
I did, having the transmission holding back longer helped a lot. It's also easier to manipulate the shifting points now so the van accelerates much better.

Re: WTB F&R gearing from 5-speed, poss. trade
I guess I was mistaken from other posts that the differential ratios are lower on the manual tranny but I see that it's not. I actually adjusted the kick-down cable and the van is much better now that it's holding a lower gear for longer.

WTB F&R gearing from 5-speed, poss. trade
I'm looking to gear down the Deli. Has anyone retro-fitted a gearset from the 5-speed to an auto? With the larger tires the Deli is pretty doggy and I want to be able to tow a small trailer again.

Re: Gear sets. 5 Speed?
Interesting, I just inquired about a gearset from a parts 5speed and they said it's 4.875. How can you check by VIN what the diffs are?jfarsang wrote:91+ 5spd's majority come with 5.29's
You have one of the rare select few 5spd's with the 4.875 diff ratio gears

Gear sets. 5 Speed?
Hi all, I'm on the lookout for front and rear gearsets for my Auto L300. After adding the larger tires, she's pretty boggy and gutless. Plus, I want to get a trailer and as it is, it just won't tow well. So, I think if anyone has a wrecked 5 speed Deli or Pajero I would be interested in the gears. A...

I would also love to get my hands on some higher rate (stiffer) torsion bars. Ironman no longer makes them, does anyone know if there's a thicker one from another vehicle that fits?

Re: 2" L300 / 3" L300 / 2" L400 lift kits for sale
Nice Leaf ! Those look like 31's . Nice spotties up front 8-) Thanks, it's working well. I really prefer the skinny tires, they dig in like crazy. I ordered the longer shocks, the stock length Pro-Comps are topping out. If anyone needs a set of used front Pro-Comp shocks, they can have them for the...

Hi Jesse, thanks again for the spacers. Below are a couple of pix of the van with the lift and 30" x 10.5" BFG Mud-Terrain KM2 tires. A great setup for every season. Leaf. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_SZp5vJlHyW4/TPwmHJva1SI/AAAAAAAAApg/1oJC6zA5qhY/s800/IMG_0101.JPG http://lh3.ggpht.com/_SZp5vJlH...

Re: L300 shocks
Procomp 9000's I had at first, barely lasted me a year. Because of the $3 bushing failed and not the shock itself 8-) As Christine wrote you need to replace the rubber bushings with poly and you are set for years. I'll second that, the Pro Comps ride great but our bushings are gone as well. Replaci...

Freakin rights ! Thanks for the info, and speedy response. I think for sure this saturday I'll be test driving, pretty stoked. If anyone else other options for servicing I'm all about it. I hope the Deli will perform a little better than vw westi, not to dis westies at all. Anyone want a Tacoma 200...
