Re: Looking for a $5,000 or less used car

I have an '87 Honda accord hatchback 5 spd for $2800 in Nanaimo
Runs great, well maintained, 228000 kms, I would keep it but I can only afford to have one vehicle and that goes to the Delica.
PM me if you want more info

Robb and Jack at 5 star in Parksville get my vote also... They make a great team with Glen in Coombs as the mechanic, making sure you get a great vehicle that is ready to roll.

Picked up my Chamonix a couple of weeks ago!

YAHOO!!! :D It has been a fantastic (but busy) couple of weeks with the new Deli. Taken it out to Tofino/Uclulet on the first weekend with some family and up to Courtenay yesterday (nice to meet you Sean). It runs great and is a pleasure to drive. We picked it up from Robb at 5 star and Glen at Coom...

Thule makes a high mount gutter rack as well they actually have two versions... the model 387 has 20 cm's of clearance from the gutter to the bar and the model 953 has 27 cm's of clearance. Not sure how much clearance the high roof needs but I am sure one of these will work...

A small roll of duct tape never hurt, sounds silly but it's so damn versatile. Duct tape is never silly  Tire levers, Patch kit, and maybe 2 tubes, flat tires suck and they can happen in pairs. Some extra bits for your chain, bike shops usually have extra pieces that will match your chain. ju...

Thule Roof racks

Has anybody put Thule racks on a low roof Delica? I am wondering if the regular 300 gutter foot will work or does it require the higher foot?
Thanks

Hi All,
Just put a deposit down on a '92 Chamonix, E.T.A. mid May and if all goes well, driving in June... CAN'T WAIT :D

So glad to find this forum, it has answered tons of questions as to why these are such awesome vehicles and what to look for.

Cheers
