Re: 15 seconds of fame or shame
Hey, That's funny, Gimli is where I got my PPL. You won't forget the moment when the instructor steps out and lets you take control for your first circut. I sang the whole way on downwind, but then bounced on the landing. Oh well, many more have come and gone with a few greasers in between. Good luc...

Hey,
Ya that looks familiar. I thought it wasn't required to go into a full spin anymore for your license.
Cheers

Re: 15 seconds of fame or shame
while I didn't see the clip, is it not the same delica that was shown crushed in another thread on here earlier this week? Yup. :-( We're currently doing weather in ground school, and the instructor (who works for Environment Canada when he's not teaching n00bs like me to fly) is not a fan of The W...

15 seconds of fame or shame
This might be pouring salt into the wound but, early this morning while watching the weather network a Delica was on t.v. from Vancouver. Unfortunately is was filmed for weather incidences around the country and the van was crushed by a huge branch that had snapped off a tree. I feel for you, whoeve...

Re: Scam Warning!
Hey,
The original scam like this that I had sounded like a very well spoken Canadian. He seemed younger by the sound of his voice, probably around mid 20's. Didn't have an accent at all.

do two wrongs make a right Hey, No, but three lefts do. It would be interesting to find out if the authorities have heard or even caught scammers like this. Unfortunately there are many people in this world that these "people" can take advantage of. It would be cool to have a feature on c...

Re: Scam Warning!
For those of you selling a vehicle I thought I would share a little story. This afternoon I got a call about my van the guy sounded professional, I was thinking too myself that it was a little wierd as I couldn't imagine a dealer calling to buy a Delica. He asks a bunch of questions about the van K...

Re: Winter...
Hey, When I was a young lad and purchased my first car, it was a 84 jetta diesel with about 380k. Everything on it worked great until the switch on the key for the glow plugs decided to pack it in. So I installed a manual switch for the plugs and if it was really cold (school at North Bay, some nigh...

Hey,fast, but rather scary to make turns with in the slick winter
That's kind of the point I'm trying to make here. It shouldn't matter as long as your driving to the conditions.

Hey,
75w90 or "hypoid" as its most commonly referred to as, would be fine to run if front and rear differentials.

Re: Snow and the media
Imagine a teenage boy driving a suv with 4x4, roll over stability, traction control, brake assist and tell me if he'll be driving to the conditions. Not likely. Just have to defend for the younger crowd, I have 4X4 and ABS and I'm certainly not driving recklessly ;) One thing I've found over here i...

Re: Power Fluctuations
Hey,
Have you driven since? Did it clear up again? If so then I'm not to sure what could be going on. If not, then I would recommend checking everything that has do with your fuel system.
