Re: Lack of Power / Possible blown turbo
I not sure how they make mechanics these days but the delica diesel is a pretty simple motor.... mechanics have no fear. sounds like a possible head damage not sold it is the turbo.... I would like to see a compression test or leak down test before I moved forward fixing the turbo... You need a egt ...

Re: Dorothy the Delica's Timing belt - the start of my saga.
Im not a very familiar guy with diesels (I alway have to remember I before e) Or just remember DIE-sel yours seems to have the DIE part :) Pull the head to check the pistons are not damaged... You are going to need to check the head or replace.... combustion chamber damage, bent valves (for sure), ...

not sure I would want an airbag to punch me in the face with my legs trapped in a front ender...
kind of like a motorcycle airbag... loved my L300 but realistic about the level of safety

Re: Reasons to keep the EGR
Gas engine article...
pumping 900 degree carbon filled air into the motor.... Bad idea. So adding hot carbon, reducing oxygen, and keeping fuel load the same... bad idea in a diesel motor.. run rich and increase combustion temperature....

Re: Oil pressure sensor
engine turns the oil pump so engine no turn no oil pressure... the pressure reading is above the pump so if you take it out you might get a few drops but no major oil spill (no Exxon Valdez spill).... People often think that oil light tells them you need to add oil.... nope if it lights up from oil ...

Re: Oil pressure sensor
Unless you are planning to install it with the engine running no oil will come out.... only oil if the motor is running.... If you pull out the old fitting and take it to an automotive parts store they can check the threads... Any decent mechanic should be able to do this without supplied parts...

Re: Rear axle replacement for 1992 L300?
sounds like the axle housing might be rusting through and starting to leak fluide... leaks would be in the metal and not around seals...it is just a housing the gears/bearings are in carriers.. options as I see it: 1) find a L300 wreck and buy the axle (make sure it has the same ratio as the one you...
