RichD & Maria - new Delica owners and site members
I haven't been on this forum for years, but reading this first post brought up some real heartache. We had a lot of fun in this van, and we were reluctant to change to something new. We got a L400 but held on to it for a few years. Then a supposed friend of ours wanted to buy it and we agreed to fin...

Re: Rolled Exeed lots of good parts
Protip: when you post an ad for something, include details like photos, and what kind of van it is. Doesn't even specify L300 or L400, let alone specific model.

Re: L400 Automatic Transmission Won't Engage
I don't see how TPS would cause this condition. Disconnect the TPS altogether and you should have retarded shifting and no overdrive at the worst. The transmission control electronics (aka ECT) are just a simple logic gate monitoring coolant temp, throttle position, tach, etc and decide whether ther...

I don't even see the point of complaining. The admins of this site are doing the best they can. Literally.

Re: L400 wastegate valve
I have heard of the part that minicarz has identified producing the symptom he described although I would start with what Tony is suggesting. As for adding a boost gauge, you can just plug a cheap handheld analog gauge into the system for tuning and save your money for more important gauges in the d...

Re: Hydraforce valve issues
Yeah sounds like one of your valves is blown. You can replace the valve and keep the body. Get a spare o-ring set while yer at it. Warm soapy water is best for cleaning this stuff. Sometimes I've had to do a pre-wash with simple green or the like to break up the residue. Rinse clean water. I use air...

Re: Hydraforce valve issues
WD40 is an oxidant. I hope you didn't use it on the o-rings.
You could try actuating the solenoids when they are out of the valve body. Any movement? If it clicks but does not move perhaps they are shot. I've never dealt with a failed set so I'm not sure what you'd expect to see.

Re: Hydraforce valve issues
Did you test the valve by applying power directly to the valve solenoid terminals? As you probably know, it will audibly click. Also did you rebuild the valve before installation? I always pull them right apart and clean them out thoroughly, checking the o-rings for wear. Ideally do this before putt...

Re: Fuel Line inner dia. ?
Fuel lines are supposed to be opaque. There is an overflow line on the fuel filter for the water drain... Assuming you are talking 4M40.
Anyway the feed is 5/16" and the return is 1/4". Use fuel grade hose.
