I just had some seals redone on my thermostat and had one from a CAT and another from a Detroit Diesel.
Gotta love a good frankensteiner fix.

Re: Fuel tank vent valve
Good luck to ya. I figured I'd check here after I didn't get the call. Was talking it over with the wife and I was betting on no fuel in the filter from it sitting. Sounds like a good amount of air is getting into the system somehow. Bet you fog light bulb that there is a seal gone on your pump. I w...

Re: What did you do to your Delica today?
Ordered new ball upper left ball joint, air filter, fuel filter (web cross referencing it as having a possible GMC north america part #13240032 will verify). Bought new oil for weekend maintenance schedule. Also ordered new foglight bulbs from the web, cheapest i found in any local store was $55 hah...

Having registered in Ontario last year I can feel for you. At the same time I can't agree with you as to how bad the situation is. My best recommendation would be to contact Craig from www.bonsairides.com and see who he can get you in touch with. Other Ontario specific RHD forums usually have lists ...

Re: Any experience w/ Right Drive, Ontario?
Insurance was a bit of a hassle, though in the end my wife ended up getting insured through the same guy she's been dealing with forever. I do believe he is underwritten by R.B.C. Be patient, make a list, a spreadsheet or whatever you've gotta do to keep track of the millions of places that you call...

Re: Horn issues
Not to hijack your thread... But I figured we could share your horn thread. ;) Replaced the interior fuse this evening, hit the horn and it worked. When I tried it again it was dead with another blown fuse. I assume (correct where necessary) this would indicate a short somewhere between the steering...

Re: Horn issues
Mine died on me just the other day. The fuse is fine so I'm assuming the actualhorn either got wet in the snow or just died. Either way I picked up an air horn tonight so if it's wiring I'll let you know after the weekend.

Re: Now that the Ontario board is waking up
We've been discussing a meetup in another thread. So far it seems we may do some logging roads up north, though nothing is definate yet.
I'll be picking up an air horn this weekend. I can't wait, almost got one for my motorcycle but declined for safety reasons.

Now that the Ontario board is waking up
Keep posting mates.
Thinking of doing a lift? Post.
Put in a new radio? Post.
Making a tent that attaches to your side door? Post - with pictures!!!
You get the idea.
I get the feeling there are more of us from Ontario than we think.

Re: Maintaining a Delica in Ontaro
Yeah, my jaw hit the floor as i'd just spent a hundred bucks on some other oil (winter: Castrol 5W-40) at Canadian Tire. Ah well, that is a lesson I won't forget anytime soon. Now to figure out why my horn isnt working... I hope it's the actual horn and not a pinched wire from putting the column bac...

Re: Hi Guys
I picked mine up form Mardy at amazingautoimports. A very, very good guy who went to all lengths to ensure that my family, myself and my delica were all good to go before we headed out of Vancouver. He even picked us up at the airport - definitely a high of the family trip out west (flew out, picked...

Re: Maintaining a Delica in Ontaro
I bought mine fully serviced from Mardy. I spoke to him about parts and he said to go to a (mitsubishi) Fuso dealer. Next time I need any work done that is beyond the capabilities of myself or a good friend of mine (VW owner - lots of experience haha) I will be heading down there. I've printed off e...

Re: Hi Guys
I might be up for the logging roads as long as things are kept relatively tame. I used to ride them on my BMW bike and always loved getting off the beaten path.
