Re: Ontario Drive Clean Updates!
I have had to test a few JDM gassers and diesels in Ontario this year including '98's with no OBD. If you are e-testing a JDM 1998 gas or diesel you must send a 'gray market application' to drive clean so they can put your VIN in their system. The application can be e-mailed, relevant info on their ...

Re: Southern Ontario summer cruise?
Thanks Falco! I think I'm tied up with arrivals until the last weekend of August, I know nvanAdam is in South Carolina with his bus at the moment. Would the weekend of the 25th work for anybody? With that much lead time, I could probably get a few vans not on the forum to come. Feds and nvanadam let...

Southern Ontario summer cruise?
Hi Ontarians, nvanadm and I joined a GTR cruise not to long ago but couldn't keep up. We wound up searching for more fun places to drive: kdlqZX7Pv3s We then decided we should try to organize a cruise in South Western Ontario this summer. It should probably be a weekend, with picnics and family frie...

Re: Import pickup
The 1997 Datsun LRMD22 look pretty good with a 3.2NA diesel, double cab and nice interior. More modern looking than the LN107 Hilux but hard to find a double cab 5speed with the big engine.

PE8W on 22's
Had to share this. Its a PE8W on 22" gangsta rims going through Tohoku auction (unfortunately a little too close to Fukushima)
But still looks pretty wild. Its a '94 chassis, facelifted front bumper, bonnet and quarters.

Doesn't seem to be sparking, Feds!
I'd like to turn your letter into a form letter/fill in the blanks to hand out to my customers.

Re: 30 year rule in Oz...
Australia's import rules 'RAWS' are awesome. I wish we had that here. But they have a 'pre 88' rule which is similar to our 15 year rule.. except theirs isn't rolling. So anything pre '88 is legit for import.

Re: possible Ontario insurance group by
Not at all good progress.. but I've got a lot more work to do. I've had a lot of customers get angry enough in the past that their brokers/insurers have made special case exemptions to FISCO rules and written policies for JDMs. Never underestimate the power of a strongly worded letter! I'm hoping th...

possible Ontario insurance group by
Hello all, I'm trying to put together a group buy for insurance in Ontario. I started with a handful of my own customers but I have recently been getting a number of en-queries from other drivers. SO, if you aren't happy with your current insurance, think you are paying too much, worried about getti...

Re: UPPER Control Arm Bushings
I have had poor results replacing the upper control arm bushing alone- that is buying just the bushings, knocking out the old ones and pinching new bushings into the old control arm. I think Mitsubishi only sells the control arm with bushings together for a good reason. The bushing housing on the up...

Re: Blow Off Valve (BOV/BPV or maybe Relief Valve)
A BOV would typically release after building boost, when the system is releasing excess air, not when you are building boost or trying to accelerate. I had what sounds like a similar problem in a GTR. I parked it in the driveway, fiddled with the gas cable to wind the engine up and tracked the leak ...
